Has The World Bank’s eTransform Project In Ghana Made Any Real Impact?
In 2012, the World Bank signed an agreement with Ghana to work on an “eTransform” project. The Bank would provide $97 million to help digitize government services and improve connectivity.

Ghana’s Tech Ecosystem Valued at $2.6 Billion in 2023 – Global Startup Ecosystem Report
The Global Startup Ecosystem Report 2024 based on extensive research and analysis of data from 4.5 million startups across 300 global ecosystems provides insights into the world’s leading startup ecosystems, emerging trends, and key challenges facing entrepreneurs. In its report, Ghana’s tech ecosystem from 2021 to 2023 was valued at $2.6 billion, and the average salary of a software engineer is ~$5,000.

Kosmos Innovation Center (KIC) in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation has announced the opening of call for applications for the 2024 KIC Business Booster program; 30th June to July 12. The Business Booster Program is designed to accelerate the growth of participating Agri-MSMEs by coaching and training them to identify new opportunities to scale-up and strengthen their market linkages, improving their investor readiness and connecting them to potential funding

Telecel Foundation is shaping the future of girls in STEM
Telecel Ghana Foundation has hosted it’s grow Girls in STEM project which is aimed at empowering and training young girls to explore and excel in STEM fields to compete in a world increasingly driven by technology and innovation. The STEM workshop had 50 girls from Accra receive practical Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) training that exposed them to experiments in robotics, programming, web design and arts.
Zenith Bank Ghana donates laptops and computers to KNUST and HO technical university
Zenith Bank (Ghana) Ltd, as part of it’s Corporate Social Responsibility has donated 20 laptops to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and 10 desktop computers to the Ho Technical University (HTU), remarking that the initiative was anchored on the Bank’s three pillars of People, Technology and Service and a mission of continuing to invest in the best people, technology and environment.
