VP Bawumia Launches Citizenapp To Centralise Public Services
Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has launched the CitizenApp Data Interoperability System (CADIS), a platform aimed at consolidating essential government services; a solution to the fragmented platforms currently used for different public services – from renewing health insurance to paying utility bills. Users can now perform a range of tasks – from registering for a birth certificate to paying local assembly charges – all through a single app.

Ghana Formally Launches Free Mobile Roaming Initiative in Togo and Benin
Ghana’s Ministry of Communications and Digitalization has announced that Ghana has established a bilateral ECOWAS roaming service with Togo and Benin meaning Ghanaian subscribers visiting Togo or Benin can make and receive calls without paying roaming fees and vice versa.
Ghana To Launch 5G Service On November 1
On June 24th, in a press conference, the Ministry of Communications and Digitalization stated that the country partnering with industry players would launch its shared 5G network by September 2024, but in a recent radio interview, the Minister says the launch of its 5G service is now scheduled for November 1st, 2024.
