MTN Ghana To Completely Phase Out Scratch Cards By June 30
MTN Ghana, as part of its sustainability strategy to lead digital solutions and adopt clean environmental practices in Ghana will officially complete the phasing out of scratch cards by June 30, 2024. Customers with unused MTN scratch cards will not be able to recharge them after July 1, 2024.

Mobile Money Ecosystem Grows Over 180% After E-Levy Reduction
Fintech Statistics published by the Bank of Ghana indicates that Ghana’s mobile money ecosystem has grown by a significant 186% between November 2022, when e-levy was revised from 1.5% to 1% and March 2024. Meanwhile, total volume of transactions for the first quarter of 2024, stood at 1.86 billion, which is more than twice the 492.4 million recorded in November 2022. The volumes were even lower during the period e-levy stood at 1.5%
