MTN Engages SMEs on Cybersecurity for Business Protection
MTN at its Business Breakfast Meeting on Cybersecurity and Digitalization for SMEs,
stressed the need for SMEs to maintain cybersecurity practices among their staff. The MTN Business team introduced cybersecurity and digital solutions to help SMEs enhance their security measures, emphasizing that the weakest link in business security is often people, hence the crucial need to educate staff, clients, and partners about safe online practices.
World Bank provides US$70bn digital development support for Ghana and Other Countries.
The World Bank has disclosed that it has made available some US$70 billion to support digital infrastructure development in Ghana and other developing countries. The bank is also conducting research and Analytics and communicating with these countries to determine where investment is needed and to provide the required assistance

Scientists at RAIL-KNUST Advance The Creation of AI-Based Crop Disease Detection For Africa
Scientists at the Responsible Artificial Intelligence Lab at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (RAIL-KNUST) have addressed the challenge of detecting crop diseases in Africa using Artificial Intelligence (AI) by creating datasets specifically tailored to the African agricultural diversity, including annotated photos of leaves from various crops, both healthy and diseased.
RAIL's efforts aim to empower African scientists and developers to create AI solutions that are relevant to the continent's unique agricultural environment.
Ghanaians advised to build strong skills in cyber security
THE Acting Director for Capacity Building and Awareness Creation at the Cyber Security Authority (CSA), Alex Oppong, has advised Ghanaians with interest in information and communications technology (ICT) to build strong skill sets in technology in readiness for the global demand for cyber security professionals adding that there are four million vacancies for cyber security professionals globally.
Slamm Technologies and ISC2 join forces to Train Over 400 Participants in Cybersecurity
Slamm Technologies - a cyber-security training institution, in partnership with the International Information System Security Certification Consortium (ISC2) – the world’s leading member association for cyber-security professionals, have successfully provided free cyber-security training to over 400 participants in Accra and Kumasi, Ghana. This initiative is part of their '1 Million Campaign,' which aims to improve domestic IT and cybersecurity capacity.
